Citroemech

Transforming a local garage’s outdated website into a modern, mobile-friendly platform that’s easier to manage, integrates smoothly with booking tools and boosts local search visibility.

Citroemech is a well-regarded car garage in Wokingham known for their honest service, transparent pricing, and experienced team of mechanics.

But their old website wasn’t doing them justice.

Built on a series of static HTML pages, the site had become hard to update, expand, or integrate with new tools. Content was going out of date, and with no easy way to refresh or adapt the site, Citroemech risked losing visibility and usability — especially for customers searching for local services online.

The goal was to rebuild the site from the ground up — keeping the bones of the original structure while streamlining and simplifying the user experience.

I couldn’t be happier with my new website. It looks professional, works great on phones and tablets, and really shows off the kind of work we do in the garage. Customers can now find us easily, book appointments online, and get the info they need without having to call. The whole process was smooth from start to finish, and the end result is something I’m proud to put my name on.

– David Cook, Mechanic

The end result is a modern, responsive site that’s easy to manage and built to grow.

A key part of the project was integrating with Motosoft, the third-party platform Citroemech uses to manage MOT bookings. We reached out to Motosoft directly and were able to get access to a newer version of the booking tool, aligning its interface with the new website for a smoother transition between site and system.

Servicing, however, needed a more tailored approach. We built a custom dynamic form that adapts to what the user selects — helping collect the right information upfront and cutting down the usual back-and-forth. It’s now embedded across key pages like ‘Services’ and ‘Contact Us’ to make the process quicker for both customers and the Citroemech team.

We started by designing the core page templates in Adobe XD. This allowed us to restructure content, swap out imagery on the fly, and share a working prototype that made feedback fast and easy. The team at Citroemech could review layouts, follow the user journey, and comment directly on the designs.

Once signed off, we moved into development. As standard, we set up a staging environment and completed a clean WordPress install using our go-to theme builder, Avada. From there, we built out templated pages, mobile-friendly layouts and flexible formatting options — ensuring that whatever device someone’s browsing on, they get the same clean, seamless experience.

  • Customers can now find what they need quickly thanks to clearer service areas and simplified content.
  • The new site works flawlessly across desktop, tablet and mobile.
  • Citroemech can update their content themselves — no need to dig into code or chase support.
  • The MOT booking journey is now slicker and more in tune with the rest of the brand.
  • We also refreshed all on-page SEO — helping boost Citroemech’s visibility in local search, particularly for “garage near me” type queries, which are key for attracting nearby customers.
